Hannah feels great. Her love life, and her business are flourishing (or so she thinks). Even her best friend Claire is walking on air because of her new marriage. Claire and hubby Reverend Bob are looking forward to their honeymoon, if only they could find time to take it.
In walks opportunity in the form of the Rev. Matthew Walters. Matt is an old friend of Bob’s from childhood, and he has graciously offered to take over Bob’s Church for the two weeks that they’ll be away. Matt is on Sabbatical from his regular post and was actually in town to visit Grandma Knudson who he and his cousin lived with when they were in high school. Phewwwwwwwww that solved that problem right? Nuh uhhhhhh
Hannah was visiting with Grandma Knudson and offered to check on Rev. Matt in his office on her way out, and to tell him that lunch was ready. Imagine Hannah’s surprise when she found the good Reverend dead on the floor of the Church office. Hannah knew then and there that she was going to get to the bottom of this heinous murder and bring the killer to justice.
This is the 14th. book in Joanne Fluke’s Hannah Swendson mystery series. Each book gets better in so many ways, as the characters grow and expand. I for one hope this series continues for many years to come.
